Directions

Leave from Heep Center parking lot
Take FM-60 (University Drive) west through Snook until it T’s with Hwy. 36 in Lyons.
Take Hwy. 36 south through Somerville.
Take FM 390 west to Burton where it ends at Hwy. 290.
Travel west on Hwy. 290 for ~2 mi.
Take Hwy. 237 south towards La Grange.
Before La Grange, 237 intersects 159. Continue straight onto 159 heading south.
In La Grange, take Hwy. 71 west for <2 mi.
Take Hwy. 77 south through Schulenburg to Hallettsville.
In Hallettsville, take Alternate 77 south through Yoakum, Cuero, and Goliad to Refugio where Alt. 77 and Hwy. 77 merge.
Continue south on Hwy. 77 for roughly 10 mi. and the entrance to Welder Wildlife Foundation Park will be on the east side of the highway.
