Welder Wildlife Refuge
This year’s Entoblitz will be held on April 23-25 at the Welder Wildlife Refugein Sinton, Texas.
The Welder Wildlife Refuge (map) is a 7,800-acre native wildlife refuge 8 miles north of Sinton, Texas, in the Coastal Bend region with museum, bunkhouse, and kitchen. Directions | Travel Waiver Form
Open to anyone interested in entomology. There is a minimal fee required and limited facilities available. The Fee comprises of:
-gas if you plan to carpool from Texas A&M
-Saturday night dinner. (Don’t forget to bring your own food for the other meals.)
-two nights at the refuge (5 dollars/night/person). Bring bedding supplies: sheet, sleeping bag, pillow, etc.)
Also, each person that comes to the foundation needs to sign a release of liability. Please fill this form out and bring it with you to the Welder Wildlife Refuge. (Release of Liability Form).
